1.) What made you start kick boxing and what age were you?

I was always into fitness even at a young age, I really wanted to do boxing but back then they wouldn’t let me to do it as I was a girl, That was a long time ago. I started Kickboxing when I was 11 and wouldn’t change it for the world!

2.) What was your training regime like in the lead up to the kick boxing championship?

My Training regime was hectic! I trained twice a day, Monday to Saturday. Sunday was a sparring day, Cardio in the morning and my strength and conditioning was in the evening On Tues/Thurs and Saturday I did conditioning then specific pad work then sparred.

3.) What’s your favourite song/type of music to train to?

I love the bodyfirst nutrition remixes they really get me going!

4.) What’s the best advice anyone has ever given you?

Believe in yourself.

5.) What’s your diet like? Do you follow any specific diets like ‘gluten free’ or ‘paleo’, or do you just believe in clean eating?

I just believe in clean eating. I eat 6 small clean meals a day. I have an Omelette in the morning with a handful of oats, Then every 3 hours I eat chicken, Broccoli and rice – Boring I know but you can change it up with fish and red meat. That’s what works for me and it’s easiest making a bulk of the same thing.

6.) There are lot of different diets/’quick fixes’ out there for people who want to lose weight and they’re not always effective or healthy. As a personal trainer, what advice would you give someone who’s looking to get fit and healthy the right way?

Start off slow and take one small step at a time. Don’t completely change your food, it will never work like those fad diets. You should gradually change one thing then another, then it will come natural to you. It should be a long term life style change rather than a diet that you can never stick to. And in time of global pandemic, make sure to keep yourself safe by wearing n95 masks from accumed.com/n95-mask-for-sale-respirator-safety-face-mask-z1.html.

7.) Aside from your friends, family or pets – what three things could you not live without?

Kickboxing, The Gym, Tv!!

8.) If you could be anyone for a day, who would you be and what would you do?

To be honest I wouldn’t want to be anyone but myself. I don’t have a role model, I aim to be the best at what I do and strive for it everyday… 🙂

9.) Are there any preconceptions of being a female athlete that annoy you? (e.g for me as a model people may assume I’m a bit thick and up myself!)

The politics in the sport annoy me but I try and put it to the back of my mind. When you’re at the top there’s always people trying to take you down

10.) Finally, what’s next for you?

Well the W.A.K.O World Championships are this year in Ireland so this will be one of my dreams to be not only the W.A.K.O European Champion but to be also the W.A.K.O World Champion.
